
ISLAMABAD: A private place carrying 36 Pakistani’s from Libya landed in Islamabad early Thursday morning, DawnNews reported.
These Pakistani’s first reached Egypt and flew to Pakistan via Bahrain, landing at the Islamabad International Airport at 6am. The Pakistani citizens said that their lives were in danger due to high tensions in Libya and they had left all their assets behind fleeing for the Egyptian border, from where they were taken to Cairo.
The Pakistani’s traveled from Bahrain on Gulf Air GF 0770 flight.
According to sources, at least 18,000 Pakistani nationals are still in Libya. The passengers said that the Pakistani Embassy in Libya refused to assist them while the Pakistani Embassy in Cairo helped them with rescue.
