KARACHI, Oct 8: A member of law-enforcement agency was injured when a bullet hit him and around 14 political activists were arrested following a political dispute in Gulshan-i-Iqbal late Tuesday night.

Political activists of two parties — Muttahida Qaumi Movement and Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal — whose election camps have been set up close to each other, near National Complex and Aladdin Park on Rashid Minhas Road, exchanged hot words on hoisting of party flags which later turned into a scuffle.

The law enforcement agency personnel tried to defuse the situation but someone fired a shot and injured one of the constables of the Rangers, Mushtaq, in the leg.

SHO Aziz Bhatti Police Station Rustam Khan Khattak said following the injury the police picked up about six to seven activists each from both the parties.
