MIRPURKHAS, Feb 24: Officials of the education department of district Badin and district treasury office of Mirpurkhas recorded their statements in investigation of two cases lodged with the Anti Corruption Establishment of Mirpurkhas on the complaint of Mohammad Hassan Samejo.

He complained that Rs1.1million had been drawn from the treasury office on the basis of fake documents of two employees of the education departments of Badin and Umerkot in 1998 and 1999.

The documents of retirement of an employee of Badin, Ahmed Ali, and another of Umerkot, Abdul Khaliq, were submitted in the treasury department and Rs1.1 million were drawn by then district treasury officer of Mirpurkhas Ghulam Rasool Memon. But the two persons were not employee of the education department.

During investigation, notices were issued to the accused and ACE of Mirpurkhas circle office recorded statements of Allah Dino Mallah, assistant district education officer of Badin, clerks Mir Mohammad Talpur and Allah Bux, and employees of the district treasury department.
