BUREWALA: Four policemen, including the ASI of Saddar police station Burewala, were killed in a road accident near Toba Tek Singh’s Rajana tehsil, some 50 kilometres from Burewala, on Wednesday.

Police sources told APP that the accident occurred when ASI Mohammad Arshad, head constable Mohammad Iqbal, constable Mohammad Ikram and police van driver Mohammad Arif were travelling towards Faisalabad to bring a murder accused Mohammad Musa from the district jail to present him in the court of Additional District and Sessions judge Chaudhry Abdul Majeed in Burewala.

Their speeding vehicle hit a tractor trawler and the severe impact of the collision killed all four on the spot.
