Pakistan’s preparations for its Asian Olympic Qualifiers tie against Malaysia seemed to be on the right track after the Greenshirts pulled off a tough 0-0 draw against top Thai Premier League side Osotspa at the Saraburi Football Stadium.
The match was Pakistan’s third on its short tour to Thailand which has so far also produced two losses for the visitors.
But barring the results, the performance of the team has been satisfactory.
Their 2-1 loss to Thailand U23, the first game of the tour, was a closely contested encounter while the results against club sides Samut Prakan and Osotspa Saraburi FC also exceeded expectations given the two sides boast a number of foreign players from Brazil, Japan and Africa.
Pakistan will play its final friendly match in Thailand on February 18 before they head off to Malaysia for the first leg of its Olympic Qualifier.
