Amna annexes ranking title

LAHORE, Oct 5: Amna Najam won the Punjab Women Ranking squash tournament title, beating Nadiya in the final 3-1 at the Punjab Squash Complex Saturday.

Amna won 15-8, 15-10, 11-15, 17-14.

Amna made a fine start and won the first two games. Nadiya won the third game, only to lose the next and the final too.

In the Under-15 final, Alia also went to four games to beat Maleeha. Alia beat Maleeha 15-6, 15-7, 14-15, 15-10.

Maleeha after losing the first two games rather easily struggled to win the third 15-14. Alia, however, again showed her class and won fourth game 15-10 to emerge victorious.

In the Under-13 final, Marhaba faced tough opposition before toppling her sister Qandeel 15-10, 15-12, 13-15, 12-15, 15-10 (3- 2).
