Two killed, 9 injured in accident

NAWABSHAH, Oct 5: Two persons were killed and nine injured as a Punjab-bound bus rammed into a truck on the National Highway near Qazi Ahmed on Saturday.

The bus (PA-0184), going to Alipur from Karachi, dashed into a stationary truck at the Haq Madina bus stop, resulting into death of bus driver Mohammad Aslam, 45, and an unidentified person, and injuries to nine passengers.

Those injured were identified as Ghulam Abbas, Huzoor Bukhsh Arain, Ms Shamim Arain, Faiz Bukhsh, Afzal Chishti, Hafiz Abdul Razzaq, Abdul Wahab, Qasim Jatoi and Mohammad Ramzan.

Eight of them were admitted to a local hospital and Ramzan was brought to the Peoples Medical College hospital.
