KARACHI, Jan 28: Nine ships including wheat and rice loaders are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing at the wharves was fairly active where eight ships, including a car carrier Resolve, bulk carriers Afamia and Surreal, Cardonia, Wan Hai-603, and T S Tokyo, with containers, Defney, with general cargo and Alpine Athelia, an oil tanker, were berthed after the departure of six.

The ships, which departed were led by Sichem Melbourne, L.T. Genova, Ocean-7, Cap George, Resolve and Busan Express, while Cardonia, Defney, and Alpine Athelia are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves showed a modest expansion at 0.123m tons comprising 29,221 tons of export cargo and 93,320 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Saturday: CNF Lions to load 28,000 tons of wheat, Jang San, to load 8,400 tons of rice, Stena Paris, to load 31,500 tons of naphtha, Kota Arif, Silver Craft, Y.M.Europe, MOL Success, and OEl Trust, with containers.
