MULTAN, Oct 3: Five people were killed and four others sustained serious injuries on Thursday in a traffic mishap on the Multan Road in Muzaffargarh.

An oil-tanker crashed into a motorcycle rickshaw when it suddenly turned towards a petrol pump. As a result, the driver and a woman died instantly while seven others received serious injuries. Two of the injured were shifted to the local DHQ Hospital while others rushed to Nishtar Hospital, Multan, for their critical condition. Later, Zafar and an unidentified woman and a man died in Nishtar Hospital.

The injured were identified as Taj Mai and Wakil Muhammad.
