PESHAWAR, Oct 2: The chief of his own faction of the Pakistan People’s Party, Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, has expressed solidarity with the journalist community of Peshawar, and called upon the government to redress its grievances.

In a statement, issued here on Wednesday, he criticized the incident in which customs officials manhandled five journalists while they were covering a demonstration by the minority community in front of the press club three days ago.

The PPP-S chief asked the government to take appropriate measures to redress the complaints of the journalists.
