KARACHI: A brilliant hat-trick by Hub captain and striker Nisar Ahmed enabled them to thrash Nayabad (UC-3) 6-0 while Lyari Town defeated Bihar Colony 4-0 in the KESC Lyari Football League-2011 at Shaheed Abdul Rehman Park here on Friday.

Nisar scored his three goals in the fourth, 31st and 38th minutes while midfielder Liaquat Ali (eighth min) and striker Inaytullah (56th and 70th mins) added the rest of the goals to the winners’ tally in the Group ‘A’ encounter. Nisar was also named the Man of the Match.

In the other match between Lyari Town and Bihar Colony, played in Group ‘D’, the goals for Lyari Town were scored by skipper Muneer Aftab, who utilised a penalty kick in the 10th minute, winger Zohaib Nisar (21st min), midfielder Mohammad Tanvir (56th min) and fullback Najeeb Ahmed (70+3 min). Mohammad Najeeb was also named the Man of the Match.

The matches were supervised by Mohammad Jalal with assistance from Farid Ahmed, Mohammad Yasin and Abdul Karim. Yaqoob Baloch was the match commissioner.

Saturday’s fixtures: Baghdadi v Winder (2.30pm); Agra Taj v Daryabad (4.00pm). Both matches to be played at Shaheed Abdul Rehman Park.
