QUETTA: An anti-terrorism court reserved till Friday its decision on the bail application of Jamhoori Watan Party’s provincial president Shahzain Bugti.

Mr Bugti was produced before ATC Judge Mohammad Ismail Baloch amid tight security on Thursday.

A heavy contingent of police and personnel of Balochistan Constabulary and Frontier Corps were deployed around the court premises at the time of hearing. The bail application was filed by Washisher Nath Kohli, counsel for Mr Bugti.

After hearing the arguments, the judge reserved the judgment till Friday.

The JWP leader was kept in police custody for seven days.

After appearing in the court, Mr Bugti said he had full confidence in the court and would accept its decision.
