KARACHI, Sept 29: Secretary general Sindh Democratic Alliance (SDA), Al-Haj Shamimuddiin, has alleged that district Nazims belonging to the opponent parties are using state resources for the success of their candidates in the forthcoming elections.

He was addressing a joint election meeting of the SDA and the National Alliance at Qayoomabad here on Sunday. He said that the opponents were harping about the pre-poll rigging by the government to divert people’s attention from the misuse of state powers by their district Nazims in the election campaign.

He said that situation had changed in Sindh and the people knew that the previously elected governments had looted national wealth. He said the people would not allow political parties to play the Sindh card again.

President NAP Amin Khatak said that ethnicity and sectarianism were eating way the vitals of the country and the National Alliance would foster brotherhood and solidarity in the politics of the country.

Huma Mir, Dr Taj and Dilshad Tannoli and Nadeem Qureshi also addressed the meeting. — APP
