The people of Karachi enjoyed food for thought in the form of books, magazines and multimedia CDs at the 6th Karachi International Book Fair which is currently going on at the Karachi Expo Center.

According to Pakistan Publishers and Booksellers Association (PPBA), around 160 local and international book sellers, publishers and exporters are taking part in the book fair. International booksellers and publishers from India, Singapore, Iran and Iraq are taking part in the event.

Avid readers aged between eight to 80 years were rushing excitedly within the three big halls of the Expo Center. It is the largest and most successful book fair ever in the history of Karachi where millions of rupees worth of books were purchased in just two days. – Text and photos by Suhail Yusuf/Dawn.com
