PESHAWAR: Police say a woman has been wounded in a roadside bomb attack targeting a police van on Naguman area at Charsadda road in Peshawar., AFP reported.

Police official Gohar Khan says the bomb exploded Tuesday on the outskirts of Peshawar, which is the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

He said the woman's car was behind the police van, which was not damaged. No further casualties have been reported so far.

According to a DawnNews correspondent, Peshawar has been sealed due to security concerns during Muharram; hence militants were targeting the outskirts of the city.

Earlier today, three people were shot dead by unidentified assailants on Kohat road in Budhber, on the outskirts of the northwestern city of Peshawar.

Yesterday, militants also attacked a school bus, killing one person and wounding two children in Peshawar.
