KARACHI, Sept 26: The Pakistan Peace Council (PPC), Pakistan-India People’s Forum for Peace & Democracy (PIPFPD), Joint Action Committee for Peace and other civil organizations have condemned the ghastly attacks on a temple in Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat, and on the office of an NGO, Idara Aman-o-Insaaf, in Karachi, in which many people were killed and injured.

These organizations described the attacks as acts of terrorism.

“It is not easy to pinpoint who is responsible for these killings. We appeal to both the Indian and Pakistan governments as well as the citizens of the two countries to stay calm and not to fall into the trap of the terrorists.

The statement said as far as the Karachi incident was concerned, it was by no means the first of its kind. It however demonstrated a malaise and underlined the existence of a network of forces of fanaticism.

The Joint Action Committee for Peace and other civil organizations condemned the killing of seven Christians at the office of an NGO.

The Pakistan Minority Front staged a protest demonstration in front of Karachi Press Club on Thursday afternoon to condemn the killing of seven Christians here on Wednesday.
