KARACHI: Two commit suicide

KARACHI, Sept 26: Two persons committed suicide in the city on Wednesday and Thursday.

A jobless young man committed suicide in his house in Buffer Zone on late Wednesday night. Kamran, aged 30, hanged himself from a ceiling fan.

Quoting the family sources, police said that the young man had been jobless for the past several months. His body was sent to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem.

A sanitary worker committed suicide by jumping down from the tenth floor of Iqbal Plaza in Khajoor Bazaar.

Police said that Sunny, aged 17, resident of Ranchhore Lines, killed himself by jumping down from the top floor of the building. He died instantaneously.

His body was sent to Civil Hospital for post-mortem.

CARJACKING: Eighteen vehicles — eight cars and 10 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Thursday, police said.

Five cars were hijacked. Three others were stolen.

Six motorcycles were hijacked. Four others were stolen.
