PESHAWAR, Sept 26: The government has announced free entry for visitors to all the provincial museums to observe the World Tourism Day on Friday (today).

In a notification issued here on Thursday, the Directorate of Archeology and Museum has asked the administration of museums at Peshawar, Mardan, Dir and Chakdara to allow free entry to the general public on Friday.

A photographic exhibition of archaeological sites and monuments of the province has also been organised on the same day under the auspices of Sarhad Tourism Corporation (STC) to be held at a local hotel here.

EXHIBITION: The STC has also arranged other programmes to mark the World Tourism Day.

A press release said the STC would organize a seminar and an exhibition at a local hotel where Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah would be the chief guest.

Speakers, at the seminar, would deliver speeches on the theme of the year “Eco-Tourism; The Key To Sustainable Development”.
