MMA for new labour policy

Published September 26, 2002

RAWALPINDI, Sept 25: The Mutahidda Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) while showing severe reaction over the recently announced labour policy has said that instead of providing protection, the policy was tended towards exploitation of workers. The MMA leaders, in a meeting with the representatives of labourers, said the policy had been prepared by amateur bureaucrats and ministers who had no roots in the country and were not aware of the life of a common man here.

“The finance and labour ministers should accommodate their domestic budget within Rs2,500 per month, only then they will come to their senses,” the leaders said.—Staff Reporter
