Pakistan elected APT Study Group chief

ISLAMABAD, Sept 24: Pakistan was unanimously elected by 85 members as the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) Study Group chairman for 2003-05.

The APT is an apex body dedicated to promoting modern telecommunications in the region.

Official sources told APP that election for the prestigious portfolio held recently at Cha-am, Thailand, was attended by all Asian countries including 32 members, 4 associate members and 50 affiliated members.
