KARACHI, Nov 11: Three persons fell victim to reckless driving in the city on Sunday.

The police said that Shoaib, aged 25, was travelling on a motorcycle near Makki Masjid in Garden when he was hit by a recklessly-driven water tanker (JB-0014). He was rushed to Civil Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. The police claimed to have arrested the driver of the water tanker.

An Afghan scavenger boy was killed in a road accident in Saeedabad. The police said that Nawa-i-Khan, aged 12, was crushed to death beneath the wheels of a minibus (PE-1069) of route (X-10) near Saeedabad police training college.

The police claimed to have arrested the driver and impounded the minibus.

A labourer was run over by an unidentified vehicle at Sea View on late Saturday night. The police said that Wahajatullah, aged 24, was knocked down by an unknown vehicle on the main Sea View thoroughfare. The body was taken to the JPMC.

The police said that the body was handed over to the victim’s brother, who told the police that his brother was a labourer.

A teenaged boy died when he fell from a train near Landhi. The police said that the boy was in his late teens, and he had fallen from Super Express near Landhi. His body was sent to the JPMC from where it was taken to the Edhi’s morgue for identification.
