ISLAMABAD, Nov 11: The families of deceased civil servants of BPS-16 and above have appealed to President Pervez Musharraf that their children should be appointment in government departments by amending the existing rules.

According to an establishment division’s memorandum the chief executive had on August 13 relaxed the condition of open advertisement for the appointment on contract basis of widow, or one child of the deceased civil servant who dies during service.

But such special dispensation is allowed only to the family of civil servants in BPS-15 and below. The family of civil servants in BPS-16 and above are totally ignored and not considered for appointment.
