ISLAMABAD, Sept 23: The Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi Bench, on Monday granted bail to the former chief minister of the Punjab, Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo, in Beach Craft case on medical grounds.

Mr Wattoo, who is in the NAB’s custody for the last two years, is presently hospitalised. The Supreme Court has already granted him bail on the same grounds.

The LHC was informed that the petitioner was suffering from cardiac problem and was admitted to hospital.

The NAB counsel, Baseer Qureshi, opposed the request for bail on medical grounds, and stated that the case of the petitioner was in final stages. The court, however, accepted the bail.
