KARACHI, Nov 24: City government administrator Fazalur Rehman has issued a notification of a local holiday for Monday (Nov 29) on the annual Urs of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi.

All offices of the city government, towns, local bodies and educational institutions under the city government will remain closed on Monday.

Govt office timings The Sindh government has decided to revive Saturday as a working day with effect from Nov 27.

The working hours from Nov 27 and onwards will be as follows: Monday to Thursday and Saturday from 9am to 4pm with 30 minutes prayers /lunch break between 1pm and 1.30pm. Friday timing will be from 9am to 12 noon.

The above-mentioned timings will be applicable to all offices, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations and local councils under the control of the Sindh government, says a notification.—PPI
