222 polling stations declared sensitive

SUKKUR, Sept 22: The police and the district administration of Ghotki have declared 222 polling stations sensitive in view of the ongoing feud between Lund and Bozdar tribes.

Six persons have been killed and a dozen injured in the clash.

The police have taken extra security measures in Garhi Chakar, Jangan Bozdar, Abdul Wahab Lund, Jarwar, Mir Khan Gabol, Sahib Khan Lundh, Hayat Patafi and other villagers.

The district administration informed the Election Commission no guarantee of peaceful polling could be given in the troubled areas.

HOSTAGE RETURNS: Twelve-year-old Raj Kumar, who was kidnapped in Garo Daro village near Mubarikpur, Pano Aqil taluka, some seven months ago, reached home safely on Sunday.

The police claimed the bandits had released the boy due to the police pressure while informed sources of the area said the bandits freed Kumar after taking Rs200,000 as ransom.

MMA: Moulana Asad Thanvi, Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal candidate from NA-198, and Abdul Mateen Bandhani, MMA candidate from PS-1, spoke at different corner meetings here on Saturday.
