President greets Fahd, Abdullah

ISLAMABAD, Sept 22: President Gen Pervez Musharraf has greeted the Khadim Al Harmain Al Sharifain, King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia and Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, Commander of the National Guards of Saudi Arabia, on the occasion of their National Day being observed on Monday.

In his message the president conveyed the heartiest greetings and well wishes of the government and people of Pakistan.

Gen Musharraf said that the Kingdom’s support to the country especially after the 9/11 attacks and the situation in the region had been a source of strength not only to him but even to the nation.

“I am confident that our close and fraternal ties will continue to grow to the mutual benefit of both the nations,” the message read.

The president said: “The people of Pakistan join me on this auspicious occasion to pray for your long life and health for the continued progress and prosperity of the brotherly people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

“Please accept, Khadim Al Harmain Al Sharifain and dear brother, the assurances of my highest consideration,” the message said.
