PESHAWAR, Oct 8: An accountability court here on Monday issued non-bailable warrant for the arrest of former NWFP chief minister Aftab Sherpao in the Ring Road land scam.

Sherpao is co-accused in the case with former senator Gul Sher Khan, patwaris Dilawar Khan and Nisar and tehsildar Mosam Khan.

Former provincial minister Habibullah Kundi and a land acquisition collector, Ayub Shah, have also been absconding in the case.

As Sherpao did not turn up before the court despite repeated notices, the court, presided over by Said Maroof Khan, issued his non-bailable arrest warrant.

The former CM has already been sentenced to three years’ imprisonment in absentia as he was evading arrest in an another case.
