KOHAT, Nov 15: Unidentified persons took away a generator and a stabiliser from a bank on Hangu Road on Sunday night, police said.

The officials of Sherkot branch of Habib Bank Limited lodged FIR with Ustarzai police, saying when they arrived at the office they found the locks of the main gate broken.

They said that after checking the cash and other equipment they found that robbers had taken away a generator and stabiliser. They told police that the watchman was not present in the bank at the time of incident.

They claimed that robbers failed to break the strong room of the bank therefore cash was safe. “Owing to deteriorating law and order situation in the area, the watchman of bazaars and government buildings usually go to their homes at night,” officials said.
