ISLAMABAD, Sept 18: The federal health ministry has directed the drugs control authorities in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta to conduct the meetings of their monitoring committee to review the availability of essential drugs at the end of each month.
The ministry asked the authorities to take necessary action and furnish it their report.
According to a press release, the drugs control administration in Islamabad-Rawalpindi region has started calling local distribution representative of the individual companies responsible for the shortage of life-saving drugs, in the meeting of monitoring committee.
They are asked to produce record of supplies to retail market for such drugs.
This practice is improving the situation, the press release claimed.
