KARACHI, Sept 17: A seminar on Family Reconciliation and Labour Welfare was arranged jointly by the National Institute of Labour Administration Training (NILAT) and the Family Security Council (FSC) at NILAT, a press release said on Tuesday.

Speaking at the concluding session of the seminar, Syed Hashim Ali Shah Bukhari, Director General NILAT said that family life could be well maintained with respect for each other, love and affection, and any differences between the husband, wife or children could be solved through reconciliation and mutual consultation.

He said that if disputes between the husband and wife are not settled through consultations by family elders, then the situation could create tension at home and badly affect children.

Bukhari said that a peaceful environment, self-respect and good relations between family members created a good environment at home, and a satisfied home life is a blessing.

Tariq Sayeed, Chairman Trade Fair Authority and Former President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, said that he appreciated the initiative taken by NILAT by organizing this course, and hoped that through family reconciliation, family disputes would be solved amicably.

Mushtaq Ahmed Choudry, Chairman Family Security Council, said that for an ideal family life, we needed cooperative, synergetic and successful matrimonial partners, which is the essential and primary base of the family.

Zaheeruddin, retired District and Sessions Judge, Karachi, Yaseen Azad, Advocate and Ex-President, Karachi Bar Council, Niaz Ahmad Siddiqui, Additional IG Police and Chief Instructor, NIPA, G.A. Bhutto, Director General, Population Planning Department, Government of Sindh, Prof Tayyaba Talat, Prof of Psychology Department, University of Karachi, S Ghayoor-ul-Hassan, Sheikh Imtiaz Ali, Noor-ul-Hadi and Mohammad Anwar Khan, along with faculty members of NILAT also delivered lectures in the course.

The course was attended by 70 Nazimeen, councillors, advocates, NGOs and government officials at NILAT’s Auditorium.—PPI
