LARKANA, Nov 10: The SHO of the Veehar police station Jawed Shaikh and head constable Abdul Sattar Phulpoto have been arrested following the registration of a murder case against them and three others.

The SSP Larkana Ghulam Nabi Memon, who ordered to register a case against a police party including the SHO Veehar for allegedly killing a villager Imdad Ali Khero in village Ranwat Khero on Thursday, told this correspondent on Saturday that the SHO had also been placed under suspension for further inquiry.

The brother of the deceased, Mohammed Waris, who is complainant in the FIR, has nominated the SHO Jawed Shaikh, head constable Abdul Sattar Phulpoto and landlord Mazhar Bughio for murdering his brother.

The case was registered under section 302, 324, 382, 337A1, F1, 147, 148 and 149 PPC, the SSP said.

The SHO is lodged at the Civil Lines police station, police sources said.

Earlier, the aggrieved villagers met the SSP and apprised him of the gory incident.

Meanwhile, the SHO Jawed Shiakh has also registered a counter FIR for assault and attempt to murder against 20 villagers with the Veehar police station.

The accused villagers include Imdad Ali, Imam Bakhsh, Abdul Ghani, Shadi Khan, Mushtaque Ahmed, Gul Sher and others.

Inspector Noorullah Khoso has been posted as new SHO of the Veehar police station.

The DIG police Larkana range Sardar Fayyaz Ahmed Khan Leghari has suspended inspector Izhar Lahori, the SHO of the Market police station.

Sources said that despite making repeated phone calls, the SHO did not contact the DIG, as a result of which he was suspended.
