HYDERABAD, Oct 8: Sindh Agriculture University vice chancellor Dr Basheer Ahmed Chandio has called upon the research scholars to create a research culture at the campus and undertake research only on those projects which were in the interest of the country.

He was presiding over a meeting of the board of advanced studies at campus in Tando Jam on Monday.

He said that it was only through the standard of research and education that the universities were recognised at the international level.

He said that through research the agricultural produce of the country could be increased which will bring prosperity to the nation. The board also discussed in detail the progress of the Ph.D. students and other matters.

KILLED: A teenage boy was killed in a road accident near Ratanabad on Hyderabad-Mirpurkhas road the other day.

A speedy coaster (R-0677) hit a bicycle as result of which Patras, 15, died while he was being rushed to hospital.

The coaster driver Hameed escaped after the accident.
