Drug trafficker jailed, fined

RAWALPINDI, Sept 13: The additional district and sessions judge, Mohammad Sarwar Sidhu, on Friday awarded four years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs20,000 to a drug trafficker.

In case the convict fails to pay the fine, he will have to undergo another six months of jail-term.

Gulzaman tried to smuggle three kilograms of Charas.

The same court acquitted an alleged murderer, Jamil Waras, after the two parties reached an agreement.

A civil judge, Sarfaraz Akhtar, issued the arrest warrant of a woman, Lubna Ratori, and her accomplice, Khwaja Bashir, for allegedly committing a fraud with Abdul Hafiz.

The additional district and sessions judge, Syed Pervez Ali Shah, rejected the bail application of man, Mohammad Shaukat, who was alleged of beating a person.
