UC Nazim’s nephew among 3 die on road

GUJRANWALA, Sept 9: Three people, including the nephew of a union council Nazim, were killed while a dozen others injured in road accidents in and around the city here on Monday.

Wahando UC Nazim Rana Ayub’s nephew Muhammad Hashim was on his way to fields when a speeding tractor-trolley (GAM-6648) hit him, injuring him seriously. He died while being taken to a local hospital.

Kashif Mahmood of Lahore died instantly while his relatives Rizwan, Sajjad, Zahid, and Imran sustained injuries when their car (FDZ-1450) collided head-on with a truck (GLT-3872) on the GT Road near Ghakkhar town. The family was on its way to Islamabad from Lahore. The injured were rushed to the local DHQ Hospital in critical condition.

Sabir Ali lost his life and half a dozen others injured when a speeding bus rammed into a roadside tree on the Sheikhupura Road. The accident occurred when the drive tried to save a passer-by, Muhammad Yousaf. The body of the deceased was handed over to his heirs. The bus crew, Aslam, also received wounds.
