MULTAN, Sept 9: Women and children belonging to tenant families of Okara military farms took out processions on Monday in connection with the International Literacy Day.
The processionists were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans supporting their demand for the evacuation of Rangers and police personnel from schools of military farms so that tenants’ children could resume their studies.
They also demanded an end to the siege of the villages of Okara farms, withdrawal of criminal cases against tenants at the behest of Rangers and police authorities and release of the detained persons. They also demanded registration of a murder case against the ‘killers’ of Suleman Masih.
