Two killed in accident

KHAIRPUR, Sept 6: Two persons were killed and three others were injured when a car overturned on Thursday night on Mehrabpur-Halani Link Road, near Pir Watyo.

The deceased were identified as Zamir Hussain, a first year student, and Ghous Bux, a Pesh Imam at a high school mosque.

The injured included Khan Mohammad, Mohammad Bux and Hussain Bux.

INJURED: Five persons were injured in a head-on collision between a motorbike and a cycle on Thursday evening at Chondiko Link Road.

The condition of one of the injured persons, Qurban Ali Lakho, was said to be critical.

PROTEST CALLED OFF: On the assurance given by the district Nazim, Ms Nafisa Shah, the residents of a village, Waryo Phulpoto, called off their protest against the DSP, Pir Jo Goth and SHO, Ahmedpur police station, here on Friday.

The villagers were informed during their sit-in that the DIG Sukkur had assured to conduct an enquiry into the arrest of two villagers in a drugs case.

CLASH: The students of Chondiko Higher Secondary School, fell out with the staff of a bus, for overcharging on Thursday evening.

Three students, namely, Mehboob Bhambhro, Ghulam Nabi Narejo and Ali Raza Khaskheli, were injured in the incident.

Meanwhile, the students boycotted their classes and staged a sit-in at Chondiko bus stand on Friday.

FOOD POISONING: At least 13 people belonging to a family fell unconscious after eating meat at the Mubarak village near Kolab Jheel, Kingri Taluka, the other day.
