KUWAIT CITY, Sept 6: A civilian photographer was killed and four US military servicemen were injured when a US Navy SH-60 helicopter crashed into the Gulf on Friday morning, said a press release of the US embassy in Kuwait.

The statement said the helicopter, from the cruiser USS Mobile Bay, was on routine training when it crashed into the sea, killing an American civilian photographer and injuring four soldiers.

The statement further said the injured soldiers were rushed to hospital and were out of danger.

The statement did not disclose the causes of the crash, saying only that the navy was investigating.
