KARACHI, Aug 23: Saudi Arabia has sent a 120-member Civil Defence team along with a planeload of equipment to help in relief and rescue operations in flood-hit areas of the country.

The Commander of Logistics Area, Karachi, Maj-Gen Ziauddin Najam, and Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Abdul Aziz Al-Ghadeer received the Saudi team at the Karachi airport on Monday. Reporter

Thirty-six motor boats and vehicles included the Saudi equipment. The Saudi team will participate in the rescue operation in coordination with the Pakistan Army.—
