KOHAT, Aug 31: The students of Cadet College Kohat excelled in the intermediate examination by grabbing top positions in the pre-medical and pre-engineering groups, according to results announced by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Kohat on Friday.

The Chairman of the board, Brig Talat Imtiaz Naqvi, giving details of the results informed the newsmen that of the 6,542 students who appeared in the Part-1 examination 2,582 have been declared pass. Similarly, in Part-2 6,512 candidates appeared and 2,242 passed the examination with a pass percentage of 39.5 and 34.4 respectively.

Abdul Sami Paracha of Cadet College Kohat grabbed overall first position by securing 938 marks. Yasir Latif and Qazi Shahid of the same college shared the second position by getting 929 marks, whereas, Haroon Khattak obtained 922 marks and stood third.

In the general science group, Syed Haris Shah of Comp. Tech. College stood first with 822 marks.

Three girls got top positions by securing highest marks in the arts group.
