RAWALPINDI, Aug 31: Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid-i-Azam) has opposed the rejection of nomination papers of the former prime minister and chairperson of the PPP, Benazir Bhutto.

The central vice-president of the party, Syed Kabir Ali Wasti, urged the superior judiciary to order for the acceptance of Ms Bhutto’s nomination papers.

In a statement issued here on Saturday, he said: “the PML-Q believes in facing the opponents in political arena, instead of blocking their way through back door tactics.”

APMA: The chairman of the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA) also expressed his concern over the rejection of Ms Bhutto’s nomination papers and said: “Rejection of nomination papers of Benazir Bhutto by the returning officer of NA-207 is highly biased and discrimintive.”
