MIRPURKHAS, Aug 29: Khan Abdul Khaliq Khan was elected the president and Haji Abdul Ghafoor Mahar the senior vice-president of the Mirpurkhas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI).

The annual election of the MCCI was held on Thursday in the supervision of Said Ahmad Kaimkhani and Mohammad Farooq.

Nazar Hussain was elected the vice-president and Seth Ishaque Mahar, Mohammad Shafi Malik, Abdul Razi Khan, Ahsan, Seth Ratanchand, Malik Qamaruddin and Wahiduddin were elected unopposed on member executive committee.

suicide attempts: Two married women tried to commit suicide over domestic affairs by taking pesticides here on Thursday.

Khemi of Zulfiqar Ali Junejo village, Mirpurkhas taluka, was brought in precarious condition to the civil hospital.

Pathani, of Hingorno village, Khipro taluka, was also brought in serious condition to the civil hospital.
