HYDERABAD, Aug 29: A top management official of Zeal Pak Cement Factory has clarified that the workers of the factory as well as the then CBA union, sensing doubtful future of the factory, had persuaded the management to give option of voluntary retirement to them by entering into an agreement.

Responding to the Hyderabad Dateline on the subject, Deputy Managing Director, Zeal Pak Cement, Mr Mushtaq Bukhari, said the workers had agreed to receive their dues in the shape of a residential colony.

He said under the agreement the management was not liable to pay the dues in cash.
