HYDERABAD, Aug 29: The University of Sindh has decided to establish the Sami Chair and Pir Hisamuddin Rashidi Chair in recognition of the services of the two in literature.

This decision was made in a meeting of the academic council the university, held at the campus in Jamshoro on Thursday.

The meeting also suggested appointment of a committee to fix the parameters of the chairs.

The meeting discussed rules and regulations for MPhil and PhD programmes, prepared by a committee, and decided that to review the proposals in another meeting.

The meeting approved the four-year BSc (Honours) degrees programme in the faculty of Natural Sciences.
