ISLAMABAD, Aug 28: The leader of Pakistan People‘s Party Parliamentarian and the candidate from NA-48, Nayyar Bokhari, has urged the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo motu notice against the National Accountability Bureau and the former chief of ISI and Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) for his massive corruption and plunder.

Mr Bokhari, in a letter to the Chief Justice, has apprised him of the misappropriation and corruption committed by Gen Javed Nasir (retired) while he was the chief of ETPB.

The letter writes: “Gen Nasir allegedly swindled Rs3 billion according to a report.

“Recently, both the NAB prosecutor and the deputy prosecutor for Punjab resigned. Their resignations are more significant in this background.”

The letter further writes: “Gen Nasir following his army retirement, was appointed chairman of the ETPB where a controversial deal of land resulted into a loss of three billion rupees.”

Urging the Chief Justice to take notice of the ignorance of NAB and the corruption of Gen Javed Nasir, Bokhari writes: “Dear Chief Justice, the PPP believes that the false charges trumped up against its leadership were a smokescreen for the siphoning of state funds by unscrupulous elements using the resources of Pakistan to finance their geostrategic vision instead of spending it on the welfare of the Pakistani people.”
