KARACHI, Aug 28: The newly-inducted judge of the Sindh High Court, Justice Amir Hani Muslim, has summoned SHO/TPO Korangi Industrial Area on Wednesday in a contempt of court matter.

Justice Hani passed this order in the matter connected with the petition of Shaikh Zaman, who had alleged that his wife and son had been kidnapped by Nazim of UC-7.

His petition was dismissed after Ms Sabeeqa informed a judicial magistrate that she was not kidnapped and that she had filed an application for the dissolution of marriage.

During the proceedings, SHO Korangi industrial area was put on notice but he did not turn up on various occasions.

On Wednesday again he was not present. Instead a junior officer was present. When Justice Hani asked him to explain, he said that the SHO could not turn up because he was on security duty. But he was asked to give the same statment in writing, it differed from verbal submissions.

The court, therefore, ordered that SHO must be present in the court on Thursday. If cannot come, his TPO should be present.
