Blast near UN facility in Kabul

KABUL, Aug 25: Two people were injured on Sunday when a small explosion occurred outside the United Nations main guest house in the Afghan capital of Kabul, a UN spokesman said.

A girl and a man were taken to the Emergency Hospital in central Kabul for treatment after the blast outside the compound in the Shar-i- Naw district shortly before 8pm Afghan time, Manoel de Almeida e Silva told newsmen. The extent of their injuries was not known.—AFP
