Mushtaq Awan in run for NA-133

SHEIKHUPURA, Aug 24: Scores of candidates on Saturday filed their nomination papers to contest the general elections.

For 3.8 million voters in the district, the number of national assembly seats has been raised from 5 to 7 while the provincial assembly seats from 11 to 13.

The prominent among the candidates who submitted their papers are Khurram Munawar Manj, the son of former PPP MNA Munawar Hussain Manj; former Punjab forest minister Rai Ijaz Ahmad Khan (PPP) from NA-134 and former senior minister Malik Mushtaq Awan (PPP) from NA 133.
