HYDERABAD, Aug 24: The Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit bench, here on Friday granted Rs200,000 bail to two brothers, Pandhi and Luqman Jatoi, in a Karo-kari double murder case.

Both the men with their third brother, Suhrab, were accused of killing their sister, Irshad, and a man, Abdul Hakim, on suspicion of having illicit relations.

Additional Advocate General, Sindh, Masood A. Noorani, strongly opposed the bail application, saying that it was a case of Karo-kari and motive behind the killings was very clear.

The court observed that the case required further inquiry.

The complainant of the case, Mohammad Ramzan Bozdar, told police that on April 23 he saw that Sohrab, Luqman and Pandhi, sons of Khawand Bux Jatoi, entered the wood cutting machine area after scaling over the wall.

He said that he had heard cries of a woman in the house of Sohrab, located adjacent to their machine shop. He added that the accused told him to keep away as they had killed their sister, Irshad, on charges of having illicit relations with Hakeem. They killed Hakeem with hatches and clubs in front of him.
