Croatian star Kukoc injured

ATLANTA (Georgia), Nov 7: Already shorthanded Atlanta placed veteran forward Toni Kukoc on the National Basketball Association injured list Tuesday.

Kukoc suffered a strained right quadriceps in Monday’s 109-86 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. He had just one point in 13 minutes and is averaging 4.5 points in four games this season.

The Hawks already are without center Theo Ratliff, who was placed on the injured list Monday with hip flexor and groin problems. Ratliff and Kukoc were acquired from Philadelphia last February in the deal that sent Dikembe Mutombo to the 76ers.

Tuesday’s results (home team in CAPS):

MINNESOTA 104 New York 94

Sacramento 115 CLEVELAND 99

Indiana 87 PHILADELPHIA 77

MIAMI 87 Seattle 85 (OT)

SAN ANTONIO 104 Orlando 89

DALLAS 110 Charlotte 92

HOUSTON 99 Denver 93

PHOENIX 113 Memphis 101

PORTLAND 101 Utah 83
