Javed Omar recalled for ICC Trophy

DHAKA, Aug 19: Opening batsman Javed Omar was recalled by Bangladesh Monday when he was included in a 14-member squad for next month’s ICC Champions Trophy beginning in Sri Lanka.

Omar, a regular in the side, missed a tour to Sri Lanka last month through injury. Uncapped middle-order batsman Mazharul Haque is also included.

Bangladesh play Australia in their first match on Sept 19, with their second game against New Zealand.
